I've always been into interiors - furniture, room colors, and art. Over the years, I've managed to collect a random smattering of pieces. I love that art doesn't need to be worth a million dollars to mean something to you, and that it's something to have fun with. Here are pics of some of my favorites along with their backgrounds.....
This one's by me. Just wanted something colorful for my daughter's room. She flicks it off the wall when I’m changing her...
Van Gogh copy, the back says “Ethel 1958”. This may be my first purchase, I got it at a garage sale for $3.00 when I was in 7th grade. I remember being very disappointed when I saw the original in a museum, it totally ruined my image of Ethel.
Thrift shop for $35.00 There’s so much about this that I love, most of all the gap in her teeth. I recolored her head wrap, dress, and earrings.
A painting I did in college.
My newest, just got it this weekend. A gift from my parents. My favorite part is the upper left view out the window. I’ve officially run out of wall space.
Thrift shop for $20.00. I recolored, added the pot, made her arm skinnier, and closed her eyes (they were really creepy!).
Thrift shop, painted over by me - I can’t help myself! I recolored and added the little hair piece. Found the frame in the trash on my way to work one day.
Grace Kelly. Actually never touched it! My dad found it at an antique shop, I love her dress and her ring.
A gift from my parents - didn’t realize it was done by a known artist, and totally painted over it. The print dress, print pillow, scarf, it’s all me, yikes...
Bed Stuy Salvation Army for $5.00 I added the curtain and recolored the rest. I think I left the coffee cup alone.

You are quite the artist...I love them all. Especially the pregnant woman exposes and comfortable just being.
I love the idea of painting over thrifted prints–never thought to do that, but now I can't wait. Also, lovely Spring collection. Drooling over the Diamonds on Dean Street Dress. I'll have to start another spare change jar.
