Shop Smart

I’m choosing to shop smart in this tough economy. I even think there’s something fun about scrupulously going through your closet to see what stays, goes, and what you need to buy to breathe some new life into your wardrobe. I think so many of us have been dressing high/low for seasons now and it’s a concept I still really love. Pair a simple cheap tee with a high quality, detailed skirt. Add to the look with some vintage jewelry or a belt scored off of eBay. I choose staples for a season-dress up pieces for meetings, dress-down knits for design work and weekends, and great comfortable, versatile accessories. For Spring, I’m craving breezy dresses and strong prints. I’ll pair them with an old pair of ripped jeans and our new shoes. It’s all about mixing it up and finding what works best on your shape and for your budget.
